9 Reasons You Should Reach Out To Guest Bloggers

1. You get more time for yourself. You never know when you might have some emergency. If you’ve set up a couple possible guest bloggers in advance, the pressure is off.

2. Your readers get a different viewpoint. If you choose your guest bloggers well, then your readers can see that new connection as a real benefit you have given them. You look more professional, more “in-the-know.”

3. You may well get ideas for new posts of your own, or a reaction to a guest blogger’s post.

4. Who is really active on your blog? Who do you really connect with? Ask if they would like to write a guest blog on occasion. This can make them even a bigger part of your community.

5. You get a good backlink, because the guest blogger will link to their article on your blog. So your guest blogger’s community may well discover your blog for the first time, and you have the possibility of adding a bunch of new fans.

6. Your subscriber base will grow because some of the readers who come from your guest blogger’s link will subscribe to your blog.

7. A good guest blogger will almost certainly add value to your blog, and that is a good thing … especially since you can take credit for it.

8. You have the chance to actually be a mentor to other bloggers. You know the old saying … if you want to really learn how to do something, teach it. Opportunities you could never predict often present themselves when you reach out in some new area … like finding a guest blogger.

9. If something comes up and you must be away, readership can fall off in a hurry. It’s a much better solution - and demonstration that you care about your visitors - to have a guest blogger come in and share their viewpoint and ideas, rather than hoping your visitors find you again when you return.
