Make Money Blogging Part 3 | How the A-Listers Do It

I’m really concerned about all the bad information being propagated by some of the well known “gurus” in the make money online niche. I just want to make a short post about how the A-Listers really make their money and dispel some of the popular but empty rhetoric that echoes throughout the blogosphere.

You Can’t Make Money Blogging Like This

First of all let’s talk about affiliate marketing. As you probably know already a lot of bloggers make a buck or two from selling affiliate products to their readers. This is how the A-Listers tell you to do it: First write some great content everyday and post it to your blog. Then submit your blog to search engines like yahoo and google. Then go to stumble and twitter and drive traffic to your blog. Presto you make money. These guys are telling people to put adsense on your blog along with affiliate products and people wonder why they don’t make any money with adsense! Your great content is going to suddenly attract readers to your blog and you’ll make a ton of money selling the affiliate products that you bought from the A-Lister.

Nonsense!! No one is going to see your great content if you don’t rank in the search results. As far as avoiding google and trying to muster sales through traffic you get from stumble and twitter…you”ll go broke and quit blogging.

Don’t Sell Junk Ebooks and Expect To Make Money Blogging.

The first problem is that the A-Listers get the new affiliate products way before we do. They are at the top of the pyramid. They sell all of these junk “get rich quick” and “automated profits system” products that do absolutely nothing to help you make money. You can’t even sell these products once you become an affiliate because the market has already been saturated. The A-Listers make the money but you wont.

Secondly, all traffic is not created equally. Traffic from stumble and places like that is worthless traffic as far as making money is concerned. Savvy readers from stumble and the likes don’t click ads or affiliate links. They like to read and stumble. This traffic simply does not convert. You need search engine traffic with a need in order to make money blogging. This business is about Google yet you get worthless advice about how to get lots of worthless traffic. On top of that the A_Listers make sure that you don’t convert any of your worthless traffic by advising you to put adsense and affiliate links on the same blog.

NEWS FLASH!! No Money In the Make Money Online Niche!

Last but not least, the A-Listers and the folks who follow them are always talking about the make money online niche. I have some news for you…there’s no money or traffic in the MMO niche. Not compared to other niches. People in the make money online niche are less likely to click ads and affiliate links. These people are savvy and convert horribly.

Listen folks, great content is great but it wont get you paid by itself. If you think you are going to simply produce great content “and the readers will come” think again. It doesn’t work that way at all. How many times have you found great content on page 18 in the search results? I know I have many times. Actually, in the MMO niche the great content is anywhere but at the top of the search results. I almost never see any of the so called gurus actually teaching an original way to make money blogging.

The other day I saw a comment on Byran Clark’s old blog “One Mans Goal” that blew my mind. Bryan said to a visitor who didn’t leave a link when he commented, “You’re not doing much to build credibility as a make money online type if you don’t even leave a link when you comment”…or words to that effect. Build credibility? For what? As if you are going to make a living online by selling make money online products to jaded affiliate marketers by establishing some sort of guru credibility. What a narrow concept of how money is made by blogging!

All these so called A-lister bloggers repeat the same thing but the funny thing is it doesn’t work. Their whole method is based upon becoming famous (hence establishing credibility) and making a killing in the MMO niche. Going to Stumble and Digg and building relationships. Nonsense!! Few ever become famous in blogging or in anything for that matter. Instead of trying to be the next famous blogger you should be getting links for super targeted keywords and buying more pre owned domains. You should be learning how to cherry pick ‘money’ keywords and how to work them. You should be learning how to trigger the high paying adsense ads by writing effective posts based around your keywords.

These are the skills that will get you paid, not wasting your time on stats and Stumble and Digg. By the way, I love Stumble and Digg! I just know from experience that if you want to make money blogging you need targeted organic traffic and a system you can duplicate time and time again. That’s what this whole series is about -a real system practiced by people who actually make money blogging. You can probably tell that I have a great disdain for the “Fake it till you Make it” philosophy.

Unless you want to peddle useless ebooks and scamware to your “list”, and unless you are privvy to recieve new products before the official launch, then forget about the A-Lister path to finacial freedom. If you really want to make money blogging then read the rest of this series and learn how to do it for FREE.
